I would trust companies that have a culture of making fool-proof software such as major airplane and car manufacturers. I was talking to an engineer that worked on the software for the main computer of a fighter jet and he said writing code is a small part of it, writing the specs and tests for it is what takes time. I don't think any of the Silicon Valley companies are willing to match that, it's not in their culture.
