Yes, scrolling through a rainbow in the background was really distracting from the text. On mobile I had to pan around a bit just to see the words because some parts had very little contrast.
Yes! Closed the page as soon as I figured out what was going on.
That seems like an extreme reaction to be honest.
If you scroll past the first few rainbows, there's lots of valuable chart data on a white background.
