Yeah, the whole thing seem to be about going somewhere that has weather your home doesn't have. In norcal that means snow.

- rhizome 10y agoSure, but Tahoe/snow residences are mostly called cabins and at any rate most people don't spend the whole season there so much as use it as home base when skiing or spending weekends and occasional weeks there.
- rfrank 10y agoYes, the differences (and lack of, really) "summering culture" is something I acknowledged in the first sentence of my earlier comment.
