> So what are the elements of a good apology?
> I hear you.
> I am truly sorry.
> (semi-optional, depending on what happened) This is what went wrong.
> I am doing x to make sure this doesn't happen again and y to make it right with you.
> Thank you. I appreciate the feedback.
Reddit is such a shit show right now, they clearly want to just flat out ban some users but they have no grounds to do so. It irks this CEO so much he resorts to childish acts of (what he called) trolling. So his "apology" is really just a, "I messed up, now here's I will further censor these people I wronged..."
I don't support the people he censored, but the leadership and moderation of Reddit seems pretty toxic right now. /u/Spez needs to go. Even /u/ekjp said so.

/u/Spez isn't the only one... anyone who promotes targeted censorship should be shown the door. http://archive.is/ZmULb http://archive.is/ZmULb
