- sliken 10y agoHeh, yeah, that's the center of the crazy flashlight nerds. For keychain stuff it doesn't matter much, anything with a few buttons, AAA, or AA will do the trick. If you want to see across parks, tops of distant trees, flag down helicopters, etc then get an 18650 based light. Fenix is a good place to start, but there's many companies that made good lights. Even $50-$60 buys a hell of a light .
- vvanders 10y ago+1 on Fenix, Eagletac is another great reasonably priced brand that I've found held up well over the last few years.
- aembleton 10y agoIf you're looking for a headtorch, then I can recommend the LEDLensor XEO19R - https://www.ledlenser.com/uk/products/headlamps/xeo-series/xeo19r/ https://www.ledlenser.com/uk/products/headlamps/xeo-series/x...

- gangstead 10y agoIt takes a lot of research on candlepowerforum or budgetlightforum to start to get an idea of what features you like and what's important to you. I've found the best quality, smallest, most efficient flashlights are from Zebralight. http://www.zebralight.com/ http://www.zebralight.com/ I've got about 30 flashlights, and the 5 Zebralights are my favorite by far.
- graedus 10y agoAgreed on Zebralight. Rock-solid construction, very compact and very powerful.
