Being an outsider like many readers out there, nobody knows what REALLY goes on there inside Amazon. There are stories portraying from both sides. So yeah, I believe what you suggest is possible. However, what I do believe one should not take the job too seriously (if you consider it's such a shitty place to work for.) Your life is too short to be wasted working at some place you feel miserable and your life is too precious to be ended for the sole reason to call out the miserable working condition at any given place.
