If the manager wants a person to quit, why don't they just put the person on Performance Improvement Plan or something equivalent? Instead going through the effort of needling someone every time?

- trav4225 10y agoIs "firing" not a thing anymore?
- jackmodern 10y agoif the reason they want you to leave is relationship based (i.e. people don't like you, but you still do your job effectively) then firing isn't really an option due to legal ramifications, PIPs can be though, but not always.
- jackmodern 10y agosaid this below as well, but relationship issues aren't always PIP worthy if the person does their job well enough outside of being unlikeable.
