I don't think I really care. It's basically a scam, and it's not gonna play well in the long term. I'm not speeding up the demise of Facebook by quitting messenger, but I'm losing the option to keep track of many contacts. Matters of privacy are much more relevant, but that's still not a deal breaker for me, right now. Otherwise I would have just quit a long time ago.
