I'm still using my over two years old OnePlus One with the Cyanogen that came pre-installed and I've been installing all the ota updates, being in security patch September now and QuadRooter showed no vulnerabilities. Pretty near for such a cheap phone. What stops me from using iPhone is my opus music collection I want to carry with me, Rocket player and my pure hate towards iTunes.
