As opposed to sending children to substandard charter schools under the guise of school choice, while really wanting to redirect tax dollars to weaken unions and enrich private actors?
The real answer is, of course, to fix the "substandard public schools", but that would require addressing the underlying poverty, which one side doesn't want to do and the other refuses to acknowledge exists (unless it's needed to shame teachers for strikes/walkouts).
