I've been using a commercial VPN (more likely for the general population than SSH tunnels).
More and more sites and intermediaries are identifying this (via IP address and/or whatever else) and treating it differentially, in the past year. Not just Netflix, Amazon, et al., but also Cloudflare, archive.is, etc., etc.
As this increases, where do you buy your exit point, and how well does it work for you?
The Internet is less "flat" than ever. It's being parceled up, and user are being ever more boxed in -- tunneling notwithstanding.
P.S. I forgot to mention increasing payment tracking and control. What happens when Visa et al. stop processing payments from the UK for such services? Banks block and even report attempted payment transfers. Paypal "suspends" you for an "illegal" type of payment?
The increased monitoring we all face also enables more and more effective real-time control over what we do. Including tunneling.
