I have a Dell UltraSharp Monitor [1] attached to my Air when I use it, the monitors come with the correct display port cables to connect to a Mac. You can also daisy-chain (MST) these monitors so technically if you'd use two you only have to use one port on your Air. However, the Air doesn't support more than one monitor at the time, at least I can't get it to work on my Air (I think it has to do with the bandwidth in pixels that the GPU can process, or something like that). I think the Pro is capable of supporting more than one display at once.
