I don't believe he's giving an opinion about Apple's actions, rather the accuracy of calling them "Big Brother" in light of the fact that other companies maintain a lot more information about their users than Apple does.

- stcredzero 16y agoActually, ubiquitous surveillance was a big part of the Big Brother apparatus in 1984.
- RyanMcGreal 16y agoOf course, but the surveillance was mandatory and its purpose was to control the public by identifying, suppressing and silencing nonconformists.
