At least in Ontario, Canada the schools cannot raise tuition without asking the government for permission.

- aianus 10y agoI paid ~$13,000 a year tuition to study CS in Canada and I don't feel it's hampered my career vs. paying ~$30,000 in the US. Note that at the same school, Arts programs are much cheaper than STEM (maybe $5,000 a year), in large part because they have much lower perceived economic value.
