I have had a number of managers in my career. Some where they couldn't careless about my career prospects (no 1-1s, no conversations, nothing). And the best ones put me in positions to thrive and grow. For those of you in either of these scenarios, recognize it and learn from it. Believe it or not, so much can be learned from good managers, but even more can be learned from bad managers.
