There is some truth in that. But these stories about fake news and professional trolling have been around for more than a year.
The article is about other countries where the phenomenon is widespread.
If HRC had won. I'm pretty sure we'd have been having the same conversations although not reported with the same urgency.
- TheGirondin 10y agoWe absolutely would not be talking about the fake news disguised as satire about how Trump is going to send people back to Africa, or round up all Hispanics into internment camps, or ban the practice of Islam, or nuke the middle east. We certainly would not be talking about how mainstream media outlets also kept pushing fear mongering narratives.
