- jxy 10y agoExactly. Thanks for the clarification. It should be the job of the operating system to make it readonly.
- JupiterMoon 10y agoI agree and you are correct. The thing is that I guess that this wouldn't work - Windows users are used to having control of everything so if MS started mounting system files read only (which they should) people would develop and other people install one click applications to remount things read-write.
