It's not just on Facebook. I have a close family member who was genuinely excited by Assange insinuating Clinton's camp murdered a DNC staffer (without offering any proof to that effect), simply because it would lower her chances of winning.
- pryce 10y agoJust from a cultural perspective, I feel like worldwide we are again celebrating that "my team at all costs!" mentality that was so prominent during the 1980s. This is not to say that the opinion landscape in other decades didn't have problems; but they were somewhat different in nature.
- distances 10y agoI was a bit young in the 1980s -- do you mean the capitalism vs. communism divide, or something else?
