why is discrete graphics required for software development? i spend most on my time typing text or using the terminal, intel iris is more than enough.
- atemerev 10y agoIf you work with machine learning / data science, you need GPU for accelerated computing. Yes, I can train my models on servers rented at Amazon (which I used to do), but those are expensive.
- dagw 10y agoFor me it's not even that. I just want to be able to develop and test my CUDA code on my dev machine. It doesn't even have to be super fast.
