i've been interested in something similar for quite a while, although my conception of it was more along the lines of a browser extension which would identify weasel words, unsourced statements, and alert the user about "experts" who are biased. i'd be interested in being an editor/philsoopher for a project like this, given that someone would need to determine what counts as bias and what doesn't. i do think that apps to improve critical thinking are direly needed...
