i think the 60 minutes interview tonight is going to calm a lot of nerves.
personally i think the trump presidency will be shocking in how normal it is. people are just completely worked up over his campaign persona which is understandable.
what people forget sometimes is that we have a political system in place designed to prevent dictatorships, exactly the kind of thing people on the left are concerned about with trump (and people on the right were equally concerned about with obama).
- icantdrive55 10y agoI was relieved to learn that he won't be able to hire his family for any White House position, or I believe any job that can be connected to the presidency. There's a strict nepotism law prohibiting this. I cringed when I heard Eric(the one who killed a Tiger, or Elephant in Africa. I get the two mixed up.) is on his transition team, but that's all private? Now, we need a law, that puts any company---a current, or future president owns, with over 1 million in yearly revenue; into a blind trust for the duration of their term? (It's something we haven't had to think about for awhile now?)
