Not as bad as in the link you've posted, but several cities in India are extremely polluted. State transport buses, majority of private commercial vehicles, fascination of diesel vehicles (particularly SUVs) contribute a lot. Standing on a busy road for half an hour might be equivalent to smoking a pack of Marlboro, if not worse.
