My one gripe is how it handles large files. It's definitely an issue because if you fuck up and "accidentally" open one, it's a bitch to get Atom to stop (you basically have to kill the process, which always feels heavy handed) and basically drop to less, which sucks because the whole point of using Atom is to get away from the terminal. I definitely still use it, though, for python projects smaller than 1,000 loc.
