Please refrain from such hateful accusatory speech. We as a nation must come together. The majority have decided, and though we may disagree, it's better that we work together to Make America Great Again, for all Americans.
- DanBC 10y ago> The majority have Of the people who voted, more voted for Clinton than for Trump. EDIT: Is this incorrect? I'm not making any comment on electoral college or anything else.
- DefaultUserHN 10y agoTrue. However, we have an Electoral System, and Trump got the majority of the electoral votes compared to Hillary. 306 to 233.
- maxerickson 10y agoPresident-elect Trump won the election. He did not get a majority. And while Clinton got more votes, she also did not get a majority. And more than 100 million eligible voters didn't even vote in the presidential election.
- hga 10y agoWe as a nation must come together. Really? Now, that's your and my fervent desire, but we shouldn't conflate desires with reality, which is that we are watching our nation fragment in real time, and that this election is but one data point in that process, perhaps even a pretty minor one. And I for one can't think of anything peaceful to reverse this process, as do the people rioting over the results of what's pretty clearly a reasonably fair election.
