I say spend your money on experiences while you're young. There's always time for salt shakers and mops later in life.

- partisan 10y agoThere are some things that people just have to learn for themselves. I think your comment is well intentioned, but there are any number of reasons why this may not apply for the OP. For example, at college age, you have no concept of the impermanence of things. Additionally, some people have no parents or have a different relationship with their parents such that spending time with them would be counter to the nature of their relationship.
