- nabla9 10y agoNot US, Vietnam. Foxconn has manufacturing plant in Vietnam. Vietnam is cheaper than China.
- giarc 10y agoI spoke with a business owner during a real "Going Out Of Business Sale". They had a unfinished furniture store (buy a wood table that hasn't been finished, and finish it yourself etc). They had been making everything in Canada (where the store was located) using Canadian labour and paying Canadian wages. He said he could no longer compete with the companies that would send raw wood to Vietnam, have citizens build the products for $0.17/hour and ship it back. He also didn't want to go through the incredible logistics of all that, so he just closed down his business.
