The USA electoral system is really crazy.

- CWuestefeld 10y agoOn the contrary. If it weren't for the electoral college, we'd be governed, in effect, by a handful of coastal mega-cities. Whole states would have a voice equivalent to a rounding error. The Presidency wasn't intended to be democratic - that's what the House of Representatives is for. Moreover, the Presidency has less power than people work themselves up to believe.
