I hate this view. I think you're just trying to be balanced, but really you are legitimising views that ARE racist and sexist by saying things like this.
- hyperdunc 10y agoThe point is that these words are overused, and are used to label people and shut down conversation. If confronted by a true racist or sexist, the decent thing would be to engage in honest conversation. But people don't seem very interested in understanding other points of view.
