really? please provide a similar example to the despicable Birtherism movement on the right, which Trump himself championed btw
- 75j 10y agoHillary had a role of her own in birtherism.
- masklinn 10y agoEr… no she did not. The closest she came to it was an aide's campaign memo suggesting pointing out Obama's "lack of american roots" (in the sense that much of his boyhood was spent outside mainland US). It was not about doubting Obama's citizenship or birthplace, and that line of attack wasn't even used in the campaign.
- 75j 10y agoHaven't been reading the Podesta emails eh? The Clinton campaign was polling on how effective it would be to criticize Obama because "Obama's father was a Muslim and Obama grew up as a Muslim in the world's most populace Islamic country." Even Obama agrees with me here. He apparently confronted Clinton about it in 2007.

All Obama had to do was release his birth certificate. It isn't despicable. The right also held Cruz to the flames for his Canadian citizenship and birth. This is tabloid style politics you should be ashamed at using as a shaming tactic. Let's focus on policies.
