I'm not sure you understand the American mindset terribly well. Party loyalty didn't play much of a role here.
- simonh 10y agoAmericans are humans and humans are tribal. Many previously Democrat voters switched to Trump, but without a heavy base of reliable Republican voters the swing voters that supposedly decide elections, on their own, wouldn't have decided anything.
