- hellodevnull 10y agoI'm so happy and relieved. I can openly laugh now. I can't believe you people (hn, sv and the tech world in general) wanted that criminal Hillary as president just because trump said a few mean things and wants to keep immigrants out. Guess what there's nothing wrong with that! PC culture and sjw could not stop the majority of the country from doing the right thing and I'm so glad.

- hellodevnull 10y agoThe same sentiment were made after brexit. Nothing bad happened. The markets didn't crash, society didn't collapse.

- albertTJames 10y agoThe brexit did not happen yet, but it already caused the loss of the english AAA, the pound is at a record 40year low, EU founded research is in disarray all over the country. - vixen99 10y agoIgnore democratic accountability at your peril. The EU is an institution that has plunged the Greek working classes into poverty, imposed un-elected technocratic rule on Italy, and horribly insulted the plebs of France, Holland and Ireland after they dared to vote against its treaties. I doubt the EU will be around in its present form in ten or twenty years. That's what will be crumbling.

- hellodevnull 10y agoThis is exactly what I mean. A couple of social policies are the whole world to you: I don't care where trans people go to the bathroom, that's not going to make me vote Hillary and have to live through more wars and recessions.
- jaredklewis 10y agoNot so sure about the "majority" part. Clinton may win the popular vote.

The biggest realization I had during this election was that "leftist" is an identity based on inherited socio-economic status and has NOTHING to do with morals or values. Saying dumb shit is evil and bad, but drone assassination campaigns, money from Goldman Sachs and Saudi Barbaria are okay. Not even talking about the upcoming invasion of Iran that Hillary was already planning. B-b-but white male! I thought that the pseudo-left would've figured from Brexit that calling poor people dumb and racist to make themselves look good on facebook isn't a way to win over people's opinion.
