>What is the evidence of this? Even if "truth" follows misinformation on Twitter, there's so much noise, how do you find it? Do you use twitter? I see a lot of misinformation and rumors started by "journalists" which gain a lot of popularity but seemingly disapear once the true source confirms or denies said claims. And it is easy to navigate this on twitter. I'm mainly talking about sports or entertainment news. With other forms of media the turnaround time is no where near as fast to (1) notify the source and (2) have the original poster edit their article.
