SYTC is in reference to a comment made pre Elm 0.17, when drastic changes were made to the language (FRP was dropped, ports were massively simplified, and a bunch of other stuff). So he then decides he wants to have the full Elm experience by trying to replicate a Haskell solution in Elm using a technique that was mentioned in an issue comment. I feel like in trying to avoid the blub paradox, he ran right into it.
