It never ceases to amaze me the entitlement mentality that some employers have. When they decide to lay off a group of employees, it's just business. But when an employ quits to peruse other opportunities suddenly it's a big betrayal and "how could they be so disloyal". (obviously this only applies to some employers. I've worked for some employers who were very compassionate and mature for both layoffs and resignations).
