Am I the only person who thinks that Docker adds unneeded complexity?
- gerbilly 10y agoNo, you are not the only one :-)
- paulddraper 10y agoThe world has 7 billion people. Very unlikely none share a certain idea, particularly that one.
- runeks 10y agoHow do you think Docker adds unneeded complexity? As far as I can see it simplifies a non-trivial task (automated deployment). A while ago I discovered that I can build my app (Haskell) as a Docker image, using the "stack" build tool. As far as I can see, Docker adds value by providing a layer of abstraction that makes building deployment images as easy as building the executable.
