This kinda stuff would be awesome as iPad/Android apps. I'm hoping that when I get some time later this year, to make apps for accessibility. For the user, the cost will be pretty much the cost of the device.
- halostatue 17y agoBased on an iPhone project that I did last year and a discussion I had with my then-boss, I was considering something like this. I did a bit of research and found that someone had already created an application that does this, Proloquo2Go (http://www.proloquo2go.com/ http://www.proloquo2go.com/). It was first featured in USA Today in May 2009 (http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-05-27-iphone-autism_N.htm http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2009-05-27-iphone-autism...). At $150 plus the cost of an iPod Touch, iPhone, or iPad, this is a damned sight cheaper than anything else out there. Does it compare well? I don't see why it wouldn't.
