Folds almost 360 degrees and detachable.
- BoorishBears 10y agoThat's completely different, I'm talking about normal laptops with touch screens. Which is what a touchscreen MBP would most likely look like since a (thin) transforming laptop using a full TDP mobile part hasn't happened yet afaik ( I'd imagine some of the old thick Wacom tablet style foldables might have back before the ultra mobile TDP processors came out) My Spectre's touchscreen was great, I even shelled out for the active stylus to go with it because of how well the folded form factor worked for me. The Zenbook I got after only folds as much as a traditional laptop, meaning all touching is done with the monitor more or less 90 degrees to you. I've plain never felt the urge to use that touchscreen.
- vilmosi 10y agoWell not really, my "normal" laptop folds 180, it would be great for touch but it just isn't. For the record, I don't just use touch just in "tablet mode". A quick click here, a slide there, it's great, even if it's just to change focus. I don't assume a touch friendly Mac would be in its current form, that would be bad. But it doesn't mean it's infeasible. My entire point isn't whether or not the Mac should be touch friendly, it's that touch friendly laptops can and do exist.
