Funny how when programmer's see a bug in some code, it doesn't matter so much _why_ the code is like that, what matters more is the result of that code being incorrect. The impact of the code is what matters, not the intent.
Yet, when it comes to diversity in tech, you can show all the data you want, and we still assume that affluent white men are the ones who are really under attack, that white men are predisposed to succeed in this field moreso than other groups, or any number of other theories that are really just anecdotally-based gut reactions. 2016 isn't that different from the 50s in that way.
