- lima 10y agoAlso a large portion of the data science stack. Finance heavily contributed to the Scientific Python ecosystem for example.
- riskable 10y agoYeah, finance "innovated" itself into a recession. Bitcoin is the exception, not the rule. And the machine learning in finance isn't very innovative at all. In fact, working in the industry I'd say they really don't know what they're doing! They just try stuff and see what works (at a glacial pace no less).
