Why avoid HDMI?
This is a sincere question.
- jacek 10y agoI have no idea why more options for video output is a problem for the author. I would see this as the advantage. Also "Unnecessary SD slot" is con for one laptop. How is this a problem?
- bslatkin 10y agoIf I'm doing digital video work, then I'm already lugging around all the camera gear. Having an SD card reader in the camera bag works for me. I'd rather not have to carry around the slot otherwise.
- bslatkin 10y agoOP here: There are USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort male-to-male cables and male-to-female adapters. Strictly speaking, you don't need it to make your devices work together. But if you don't have Thunderbolt 3, then you're stuck without such options.
