- pjc50 10y agoWhich OEM was that?
- stonogo 10y agoI have laptops from Lenovo and Dell that shipped with FreeDOS. One of the Dell ones even came with a nice FreeDOS cd-rom and a paperback copy of the GPL. Why are you having such a hard time with this?
- pjc50 10y agoI've never seen it advertised, never known anyone get one, and thought it contradicted Microsoft OEM agreements. And as someone said upthread, wouldn't it be more useful to ship with Linux? I'm not "having a hard time", I'm just curious and applying the usual amount of mild skepticism to the internet.

- notalaser 10y agoI've definitely seen it on Lenovo, Dell and Acer, and I think I might have seen it on HP and Asus laptops as well, but I am not very sure and I cannot check right now.
- sumanthvepa 10y agoHere in India I buy all my servers from Dell.We insist on FreeDOS because we have a standard OS setup inside the company: CentOS 7 for servers, Ubuntu 16.04 for dev workstations and Windows or macOS for laptops and for workstations for design. It's so much simpler to just test the delivered systems if they had FreeDOS installed and then burn whatever image we need on the machine.
