Codenvy's C3 legacy system is shutting down and merging into codenvy.io, which is a next-generation platform based upon Eclipse Che. We have been running both systems in parallel for about a year now, and this weekend we will merge them together. No matter how hard we tried, we were still getting about 1000 signups for the legacy system / week. The new system gets a lot more, but we just couldn't find a good way to merge the two systems earlier. It would have been nice if the usage of the legacy one had fallen off, but I actually think it kept increasing. So instead of having a really clean transition point, we ended up with three systems: 1. Eclipse Che open source going bonkers. 2. The classic codenvy.com which was growing in usage 3. The new codenvy.io, which was growing as fast as Che. Now we'll just have Eclipse Che and codenvy.io.
