Non-typesafeness of javascript is a massive disaster. TypeScript changed my life as a software developer by bringing types to javascript.

Javascript was built for an environment that needs to do everything not to fail, just like HTML. A javascript engine will do everything to save a bad script from yielding an error. Javascript wasn't build with code correctness in mind. In that perspective, the language is a success. I personnally don't like languages that allows the developer to add a string to an integer without yielding a type error. Typescript can help but it is still javascript underneath. And it doesn't correct the libraries you use that are written in Javascript.
