Cynical me says why not sell it to Blackwater or Xi or whatever they call themselves today? Heck, get in touch with a drug cartel, have them set up a US corporation to buy the thing and walk away. Alternatively, leave the boat and move to one of those countries and set up shop there. I think the real lesson to be learned, never do spec work.

While this might allow them to sell the boat to somebody it might also get them in trouble if they ever plan on coming back to the US.
