Funny story barnaby...the machine I was installing XP on...actually had a flavor of Ubuntu. These people are not fully tech savvy and they begged me to re-install their original XP back to it - because of software compatibility problems - driver problems for some obscure webcam, etc. So yes, for some people Ubuntu and other flavors of Linux run nicely. But for others, it can be just as much of a pain as Adobe in this case. Just my $0.02 :)
