How is it going to help to a regular user? I doubt regular users even know what those colors are for, adding more colors just brings more complexion

- fudged71 10y agoAt least you (or technical support) can look up the difference. If the cables all look the same then you need to physically test the cables to know their capabilities, which is a waste of time and resources.
- jda0 10y agoColour is one of the easiest communication methods we have with 'Regular users' as they already use them as a natural key elsewhere - even things like credit/loyalty cards (Chase, Virgin) or games consoles (green vs blue vs white)
