- pmyteh 10y agoPrivate hire licencing is the responsibility of local authorities and probably varies. - anexprogrammer 10y agoOh I know, but some areas still restrict licenses and it can lead to the ridiculous costs. Not sure how wide restrictions are, just that they're much less common than they used to be!
