There were games like Master of Magic (iirc) which in practice have a lot of the same ingredients, so to say that there wasn't precedent is not really correct.

There were games like Master of Magic (iirc) which in practice have a lot of the same ingredients, so to say that there wasn't precedent is not really correct. Civ is a better game, but to say that there was no precedents is simply wrong.
- partycoder 10y agoI see, thanks for the clarification. I need to try it then. So far from what I've read, Sid borrowed inspiration from board games such as Risk, as well as his own experience developing defense related simulation software.
