I did the same thing. I have a 2015 MBP, and I plan to hold it at least till AppleCare expires and then see how's the landscape is. Having the 2015 model, I don't feel at all left out with this release. I think I have a better laptop that this release. They are still selling it on their website. But I don't think it will be a just-buy-another-mac type of purchase when I'm out for my next machine.
