It's that exact mindset that is making you miserable. It's making excuses. "I can't be happy, I'm not millionaire! My misery is out of my own control!" ... That's simply bad faith. Edit: I've lived my entire childhood in my city's poorest neighbourhood. Everyone with a positive mindset got to experience joy. Money makes life easier but it won't change a bad mindset.
